Light Fixture Installation

Since I indicated it was an emergency, Frank left a job that he was at in an adjacent town and came directly over (and beat the power company by 30 minutes). He went throughout the house checking for problems. When the power company came, he consulted with them and they tested the circuit and determined that the loss of neutral was at the pole feeding my house (this was critically important since the liability switched from me and my insurance to the utility company). He didn't charge me anything for this visit! One of the results of the outage was the damage to all of my GCFI outlets. I contacted Frank again a couple of weeks later and scheduled him in to replace them. I was thrilled with his work and his honesty. I highly recommend his services to anyone shopping an electrician.

Frank was wonderful. He responded quickly, came right away, did the job promptly and well, and was exemplary in every respect. It was a big job that took over a day to complete, and he worked hard the whole time. I would never go anywhere else for an electrician, Frank is fantastic!

I contacted Frank for some light electrical needs as my light fixtures on my detached garage haven't worked in quite some time. Frank did a walkthrough and noted the previous owner either wired the garage him/herself or hired an amateur and due to safety issues the whole garage had to be re-wired. Frank and his team completed that work in two days time and also did some miscellenous electrical work including: installing a dimmer switch in my dining room, fixing wiring for our outdoor flood lights, and working on an old railroad light fixture, which was procured by a previous owner but hasn't worked in years. Overall extremely satisfied with Frank's professionalism and kind disposition. When I casually mentioned I was shopping for leaf blowers he drove to his house (few blocks away) to let my husband try his blower. My husband used it for more than an hour and when he returned it Frank called a local dealer to arrange for us to meet him and buy the same blower.
We will continue to hire Frank for all of our electrical needs.

I have to issue an apology to Frank. My first review was very negative because he did not show up as scheduled. When I finally did talk to him he said the appointment was for the following week. I still think he had the date wrong but be that as it may, he did come over and was very professional and took care of my requests speedily. I will hire him again when I need electrical work done. Frank was warm and gracious from initial phone call to day he arrived. We are having some insulation work done on our old house and needed verification that the old knob and tube electricity was not live ( should have been removed during renovation by contractor but that is another story) and Frank agreed willingly to perform this necessary but pain in the neck service. We were well pleased with his punctuality and price. We will be using him again once we proceed in our further home projects. Highly recommend.

But fan died a year later and different electrician had us order new parts. More expensive, but the fan is considerably quieter and should last longer than a year. But we don't know that yet. We didn't know that ordering new parts was an option. When we called him for another job, he never responded to messages left. We ended up using another electrician for that job.

It went very well. I called him on short notice when my special order double oven was scheduled to arrive from Lowe's. It was near Labor Day and it was hard to schedule an electrician on such short notice. I was grateful Frank was available so I could have a working oven for the holiday weekend.
Frank came out by himself and I was worried the oven would be too heavy for him to install on his own. The existing wiring was fine (so no changes were needed). He needed to move the hole in the wall where the wiring came out so that it was more in line with the new oven. It was tricky to push the very heavy oven in and get the wire to settle back into the hole (tight fit with pipes, etc. in the wall). He did a great job, and it looked great.

When my electric range was being serviced, the technician noticed that my circuit breaker was "buzzing" and that one of the breakers was loose and broken. He was not certified to do electrical work so he recommended that I call an electrician. A few years ago I had FX Electric fix something (can't remember now what it was) so I called him again. He was able to come that same day (the day after Thanksgiving) and replace the faulty circuit breaker. He also advised that the whole wiring would not now pass code (it was done originally in the '70's) and that it would be advisable to do some further work. He and I will confer on that in the future, but the immediate problem was solved quickly and cheaply.

I was very pleased with Frank's work. When the job turned out to be more complicated than he expected, he rescheduled other work to complete our job as soon as possible, and the price he quoted remained his price, even though he estimated the job took about twice as long as he would normally take, due to some poor choices of past electricians. When our well pump had an issue because of the 5 hour downtime of the external service upgrade, Frank patiently worked on the pump for two hours to make sure it would work fine for us thereafter.

We had a very pleasant experience overall working with Frank. We scheduled an appointment approximately two weeks in advance, Frank arrived on time at which point we reviewed the work to be done and agreed on a price. He replaced the outlets and switches with new ones that are to code, and made sure that all of the switches controlled the appropriate outlets as intended.
I would definitely hire Frank again for any electrical work in the future.
